Eye doctor near Oakland University: exams, contacts and glasses a mile from campus

If you're at Oakland University, 20/20 Vision is the closest independent eye doctor to campus: head east on Walton Blvd from Squirrel Rd and we're on your way to Adams, a couple of miles from the middle of campus. Here is how we can help during the semester.
The things students actually come in for
- Contact lens refills and exams. If your prescription expired or you've been stretching a two-week lens to a month (we know), come in for a contact lens exam. Dailies are the easy answer for dorm life: no case, no solution, no infections from a forgotten cleaning.
- Broken or lost glasses. We adjust and repair while you wait, cut new lenses for your own frame, and carry frames from budget to Tom Ford.
- Screen strain. Twelve hours of laptop a day is normal now. A proper exam and a screen-distance pair or coating make finals week easier. What helps and what doesn't.
- Red eye, pink eye, something in your eye. Dorms spread pink eye like colds. We keep room for same-day visits; call first.
- The exam you kept putting off. A comprehensive exam takes about 40 minutes, and Dr. Dolan explains everything.
Insurance
Most students are still on a parent's plan. We're in-network with VSP and work with most major vision plans; bring the card or a photo of it and we'll check coverage before you're seen. Medical visits (infections, injuries) bill to health insurance. No insurance? Ask about our exam and contact lens pricing; we'll quote it up front.
Faculty and staff too
We see plenty of OU faculty and staff between classes. Tuesdays we're open until 7 PM, and Saturdays until 3.
